We are a registered not-for-profit organisation rooted in the Busoga region of Eastern Uganda, working alongside communities to build dignified, self-sustaining lives.
Chazon Opportunities Centre Uganda (COCU-Uganda) is a registered not-for-profit organisation founded in 2024 and headquartered in Bugiri Municipality, Busoga Region, Eastern Uganda. Reg. No: 80034620093755.
The name Chazon comes from the Hebrew word for "vision", reflecting our belief that lasting change begins with a clear and hopeful vision for every person we serve.
We work alongside communities, local governments, and civil society to address poverty, inequality, and environmental vulnerability across all 11 districts of Busoga.
A world where every person has the skills, opportunity, and dignity to thrive.
To equip marginalised youth and women in Busoga with the skills and opportunities to build dignified, self-sustaining lives.
Empowerment · Integrity · Inclusivity · Community-centred · Sustainability · Partnerships
Unemployed and out-of-school youth ages 15-35, women and girls lacking economic independence, schools without WASH infrastructure, persons with disabilities, and small-scale entrepreneurs.
We operate across all 11 districts of the Busoga sub-region in Eastern Uganda, with headquarters in Bugiri Municipality. Busoga is one of Uganda's most populous sub-regions.
We partner with local governments, civil society, and international donors using community-led, participatory approaches that put local people at the centre of every programme.
Whether you donate, volunteer, or partner with us, your support transforms lives across Busoga.
